Welcome to Barkfest Dog Festival 2014!
Our first year was so successful with over 4,500 people and their dogs attending, that we outgrew our venue! We expect 12,000 – 15,000 people to attend this year’s, two-day festival at our new, larger location.
This year we are having a combined event, the 2014 “Barkfest Dog Festival & Harvest Fall Food Fair” which will be held at the Essa Agriplex, just minutes from Barrie. This beautiful 100 acre country property is the perfect venue for foodies, families and canine companions. With great pet-related vendors, dog-sport demos, and contests, Barkfest is THE place to bring your canines, come to play, shop and spend the day having fun!
You may have your animal blessed in honour of St. Francis of Assisi.
We also have fundraising for COPE Service Dogs and are promoting various dog adoption organizations. The OPP and their canines will be performing tactical demos too. The Harvest Fall Food Fair has crafts, artisans, and plenty of great food to eat. Events include gourmet food contests, an organic sector, agricultural displays, farmers and producers, pumpkins, garlic, apples, and a lot more! Great for kids!
