AARF exists to rescue, rehabilitate, and re-home abandoned, abused and unwanted animals. AARF was established in 1998. We work with local animal control and rescues dogs and cats that would otherwise be euthanized.

AARF uses a hands-on approach to train and rehabilitate animals so that they may become family pets. Our program proves that the rate of successful placements is far higher if the animal is healthy, socialized, well trained and re-homed in an environment suited to his or her personality.

AARF ensures that all dogs and cats that come into the rescue are fully vetted. Each and every one is vet checked, wormed, treated for fleas if necessary, spayed/neutered and micro chipped. As well most of the puppy mill dogs and senior dogs that we rescue need extensive dental surgeries removing most or all of their teeth.

AARF works closely with our local animal control. There are many, many cats and kittens who are so desperate for help. There isn’t enough room for them all; it’s a very sad situation for these poor souls. If you are considering adopting a cat or kitten, please take a look at our Petfinder listing.

AARF is strictly a not-for-profit rescue; we receive no funds from any agency, corporation or government. AARF relies soley on the kindness and generosity of the public and community.

    Hi Deanna,
How are you?? I’m not bad as I told you I recently lost my dog and me and my mom are investigating getting a puppy in the new year. I’m so sorry to hear about the lost/stolen Shepherd I hope he is found and returned to his home. I will keep a look out for him. I’m wondering if you can let me know if any new dogs/pups become available; email me back with this news and your address.
    Thank you
    Shawna
