It’s been a long winter, for some even longer than others. Living in Ontario we are still trying to emerge from the winter and are in the midst of the winter thaw. If your yard is anything like ours, it begins to show signs of melt, mud and good old dog poop! With having three dogs using our yard as their place to relieve themselves (a.k.a Toilet), then add the layers of snow and of course no getting get a chance to scoop up the old poop. Ahhh This spring thaw has brought quite the awakening and bounties of excrement build up in our yard! UGH. Your chore is even more interesting when you own large dogs versus owning small dogs.
Spring Yard Cleanup Celebration of Dog Poop
Well, there is a celebration for us owners with International Pooper Scooper Week. I think this week was designed for us owners to make us feel better about getting all that excrement up and cleaning out our yards.
On the other hand, I also think that this is an acknowledgement for the all the respectable and responsible dog owners who do pickup after their dogs on their daily walks. I’m a firm believer in if it’s my dog it’s my poop! So please pick up after your dogs.
So celebrate and acknowledge the great deed that you complete in making sure your yards are clean and free for unsuspecting guests. For as any dog owner knows it’s the guests that seem to seek out and step on your dog’s poop!
Enjoy spring and Happy International Pooper Scooper Week!
